Gourmet Guys
Chefs from the North River Rotary Club gathered in Rivermont's gym Saturday for the annual Gourmet Guys event. Tempting smells and delicious foods abounded in this fundraiser to provide funds for area schools. Check this website later for results of the judging, and how much money was raised, in this fun, community event.
Off to Gatlinburg
Rivermont high schoolers left Friday afternoon for the annual trip to Gatlinburg's Presbyterian Youth Summit. Keynote speaker Sarah Arthur, award winning author and speaker, will lead youth in discovering what it means to experience God's story and share it with the world. Watch later posts for photos from the weekend!
Family Bowling
Friends, family, pizza and bowling--what could be a more fun way to spend a winter Sunday afternoon? Rivermont families with young children certainly had a great time. This is just one of the enjoyable family outings scheduled by the Children's Ministry of Rivermont Presbyterian Church.
Pill Packing
Sometimes we have to stop talking so we can concentrate on counting. This is challenging for friendly Rivermonters. Even so, we had lots of fun together as we packed pills for the next medical mission trip to Haiti. Of course there was food, and warm companionship, in this popular service project.
We’ll show you how…
If you'd like to learn how to knit or crochet, come to Rivermont's Knitting Group! There's lots of learning, laughter, and friendship, as we work on various service projects. We have needles, yarn and a box of patterns on hand. The group meets every Wednesday at 1 pm in the Robinson Room--just come to the church office and ask for directions!
